PROJECT TITLE: Enhancing the Role Faith Based
Institutions in Addressing Domestic Violence and Early Marriages.

PROJECT AREAS: Palaro Sub County
in Gulu and Omot Sub County in Agago.
The overall objective of
the Programme is to contribute to a safe and secure environment for holistic
development.
Specific Aim: The
specific aim of the Programme is to promote
greater engagement amongst communities and Religious Leaders in the greater north to
address Domestic Violence (DV), Female Genital Manipulation (FGM) and
early/forced marriages and provide support to victims/survivors of Domestic
Violence.
Strengthening Community Reconciliation Project Goal: An empowered and a reconciled community resolving conflicts collectively and non-violently. Specific Objectives: - To improve local capacities to facilitate reconciliation and respond to community conflicts non-violently.
- To improve mechanisms for reconciliation among communities within Acholi sub region.
- To increase knowledge and understanding of interfaith approach to Peace work and reconciliation among institutions in Acholi land.
- To approach regional reconciliation through interfaith approach.
