Who We are |
Acholi
Religious Leaders Peace Initiative [ARLPI] is an interfaith peace building
and conflict transformation organization that was formed in 1997 and
inaugurated in February 1998 to provide a proactive response to the conflict
in northern Uganda. ARLPI
brings together the religious leaders of the major denominations or member organizations
and their respective constituencies of the Anglican, Catholic, Muslim, Orthodox,
Seventh Day Adventist, and the Born Again Faith Federation (BAFF) to participate
effectively in transforming conflicts. Inspired by their faith, the religious
leaders came together for a common cause to advocate for and lead their
followers out of the violent conflict in the region. |
